Itinerary
DAY 1: Uyuni – Train Cemetery – Colchani – Salt Flats – Sunset – Colcha K
Departure: 10:30 a.m.
Meeting point: SALTY DESERT Office
Transport: Toyota Land Cruiser or Nissan Patrol 4×4
Visit the iconic Train Cemetery, filled with old rusting locomotives.
Continue to Colchani Village to see the salt-processing methods and iodized salt refinery.
Enter the Uyuni Salt Flats, stopping at:
Salt mining areas and salt piles
Ojos del Salar, natural holes where underground water emerges
Visit the original Playa Blanca Salt Hotel (now a museum) with salt sculptures. (Lunch here)
Head to the center of the Salt Flats for creative, fun, and perspective photos — including mirror-effect pictures during rainy season.
Move to the edge of the flats to enjoy a beautiful sunset.
Continue to Colcha K, where we stay in a Salt Hostel with private rooms and shared bathrooms for 2–3 people.

DAY 2: Ollagüe Volcano – Altiplanic Lagoons – Siloli Desert – Laguna Colorada – Huayllajara
Departure: 07:00 a.m. (after breakfast)
Visit the Ollagüe viewpoint, overlooking a semi-active volcano.
Explore several altiplanic lagoons including Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarkota, home to large populations of flamingos. (Lunch by the lagoon)
Drive through the Siloli Desert to the famous Stone Tree (Árbol de Piedra).
Continue to the stunning Laguna Colorada, known for its deep red waters and the three species of flamingos.
Arrival in Huayllajara Village around 5:30 p.m.
Overnight in a basic hostel, shared rooms & shared bathrooms.

DAY 3: Geysers – Hot Springs – Salvador Dalí Desert – Laguna Verde – Return to Uyuni
Departure: 05:30 a.m.

Visit the Sol de Mañana Geysers (4,850 m), an active geothermal field with boiling mud, fumaroles, and volcanic steam.
Continue to Polques Hot Springs for a relaxing thermal bath at 37°C.
Drive through the surreal Salvador Dalí Desert with dream-like rock formations.
Arrive at the spectacular Laguna Verde, located at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano.
Begin the return journey to Uyuni via a different route.
Lunch in Villa Mar
Visit San Cristóbal Village with its picturesque colonial church
Arrival in Uyuni around 18:00, perfect timing for night buses to La Paz.
