Departure at 10:15 am.
Meet at the Salty Desert office. We leave in a Toyota Land Cruiser or Nissan Patrol 4×4 WD toward the Train Cemetery, where old locomotives rest as silent relics of Bolivia’s railway history. We then continue to Colchani Village to observe the traditional salt-processing techniques, including the iodization of salt for national consumption.

Afterward, we enter the Uyuni Salt Flats to observe salt mining areas and the iconic salt piles. We continue to the Salt Flat Eyes, natural openings where underground water emerges with pressure.

We then arrive at Playa Blanca, the original salt hotel—now operating as a museum—where you can admire salt sculptures. Here we enjoy lunch.

Next, we head to the vast central area of the salt flats to take perspective photos (funny and creative shots). The tour continues toward the salt flat’s edge, where you can admire the mirror Reflection Effect (seasonal) and capture extraordinary photographs of the sunset.

Return to Uyuni around 7:20 pm.
