Itinerary

DAY 1 – UYUNI SALT FLATS EXPERIENCE

Departure at 10:30 am.
Meet at the Salty Desert office and depart in a Toyota Land Cruiser or Nissan Patrol 4×4. We begin by visiting the Train Cemetery, then continue to Colchani Village to observe the traditional salt-processing methods and iodization.

We enter the Uyuni Salt Flats to see salt mining areas, the classic salt piles, and the Salt Flat Eyes, natural openings where underground water emerges. We arrive at the Playa Blanca Salt Hotel Museum to see salt sculptures and enjoy lunch.

In the rainy season, it is not possible to visit Incahuasi Island or stay at a salt hotel, so we return toward Uyuni while experiencing the spectacular mirror effect on the water-covered flats and a breathtaking sunset.
Arrival in Uyuni around 7:30 pm.

DAY 2 – ALTIPLANIC LAGOONS, DESERTS & HOT SPRINGS

After breakfast at 7:00 am, we visit Condor Rock and then several colorful high-Andean lakes where flamingos can be observed: Laguna Cañapa, Laguna Hedionda and Laguna Chiarkota.
Lunch included.

We cross the Siloli Desert to see the famous Stone Tree, then continue to the impressive Laguna Colorada, home to three species of flamingos.

Next, we visit the geothermal area of Sol de Mañana, at 4,850 m, where bubbling mud pools and fumaroles can be observed. We then reach Polques Hot Springs, where you may relax in thermal waters at 37°C.
Dinner and overnight at Las Piedritas Hostel, in a private room with shared bathroom. Arrival around 6:00 pm.

DAY 3 – SALVADOR DALÍ DESERT, LAGUNA VERDE & QUETENA CHICO

After breakfast, we depart at 7:30 am. We visit the surreal landscapes of the Salvador Dalí Desert, then continue to Laguna Verde at the base of the Licancabur Volcano.

We return by an alternate route and stop for lunch in Polques Village. The journey continues toward Quetena Chico, where many llamas can be seen along the way. Arrival around 5:30 pm.
Dinner included.

DAY 4 – UTURUNCO VOLCANO ASCENT & RETURN TO UYUNI

After breakfast, we depart at 4:30 am toward the base of the Uturunco Volcano. The ascent takes approximately 4 to 5 hours. After descending, we return to the village for lunch, then continue to the Rock Valley and pass through San Cristóbal Village, arriving in Uyuni around 6:00 pm.
