The green lagoon is a high Andean saltwater lagoon of Bolivia, located in the Andean National Reserve of Eduardo Abaroa in the altiplano in the department of Potosí, near the border with Chile.
The color of this striking lagoon is due to the high mineral content of magnesium, calcium carbonate, lead and arsenic. And it is by these same components that there does not inhabit any animal, since the water is toxic.
